First and foremost it is our experience that you will NOT be off the ship by 7:00 AM and you should schedule your pickup time for later. If however you do not wish to follow our advice and you insist on having a driver waiting for you at 7:00AM we will charge you $75.00 per half hour billed in half hour increments for a wait time.

Yes, If something is amiss with one of the ships or any passenger refuses to comply with authorities or refuses to declare items U.S. Customs does reserve the right to shut down the Port. This has happened in the past.

The reason in most cases all shuttles are late is because passengers are not making it through U.S. Customs on time. No you do not get a discount or refund due to delays that are beyond our control.

No, the number you gave at time of booking is the number the driver will have when coming to pick your party up at the location. If you have not informed this office of the cell number change PRIOR to your arrival we have no way of getting in touch with you. Therefore after 30 minutes of no contact you will be considered a no show and an additional fee may apply to transport you.

 No, you are supposed to be outside the airport baggage claim with your cell phone with you and on for the driver to contact you. Cell phones within the airports do not always get a signal and chances are your driver has left you due to no contact. Our drivers will NOT come into the airport to "find" you. We have meet and greet services available for an additional charge if that service appeals to you.

No, wait time charges do not start until your scheduled pickup time not what time the driver arrives.

No, times scheduled for pickups are approximate and are not a guaranteed pickup time. There may be many reasons why the driver is not there exactly at 9:30AM for your pickup that is beyond our control. Though in most cases we do strive to be at least 10 minutes earlier than your scheduled pick up time there are times when this is not possible.

No, you made a decision to take another carrier even though you were scheduled with us. You have chosen to take alternate transport by no fault of our own. You scheduled a vehicle and driver taking such out of service for another therefore you must pay for that time slot whether you choose to utilize it or not.

We will make a every attempt to get you early. However we can not guarantee an early pickup from your reserved pickup time.

No, As is often the case weather or traffic delayed your vehicle and as much as we would like to control both for you we cannot.

Yes, we do offer a meet and greet service at select airports. Contact customer service regarding any additional charges that may apply.

The cell phone number you provided when you placed your reservation is how your driver will be in touch with you. If you don't have that cell number with you or you don't have your phone on the driver will not be able to find you. If after 30 minutes of no contact with you your party is considered a NO SHOW and the driver will leave. No refund will be given and an additional charge to come and transport you may be charged.

All Travel on The Florida Sunshine Shuttle's scheduled service is non-refundable. Travel on our private shuttle service may be subject to a cancellation fee For info on our Terms.

At this time, we do not have Wheelchair Ramps or Lifts, however, we can easily store a Wheelchair in any of our vehicles for ambulatory passengers.

Yes, car seats are available upon request. A request is exactly that and they are not guaranteed. You may make a request for 1 car seat only and must be done at the time of booking. If you absolutely must have one we encourage you to bring your own. We have car seats only, we do not carry infant seats or boosters.

316.613 Child restraint requirements.

(6) The child restraint requirements imposed by this section do not apply to a chauffeur-driven taxi, limousine, sedan, van, bus, motor coach, or other passenger vehicle if the operator and the motor vehicle are hired and used for the transportation of persons for compensation. It is the obligation and responsibility of the parent, guardian, or other person responsible for a child’s welfare as defined in s. 39.01 to comply with the requirements of this section.

All reservations are charged at the time of booking. We take Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Drivers do NOT accept cash payments for transfers.

 

What that means is we do not charge extra for tolls, airport fees, port fees, we have no baggage handling fees and a 10% driver gratuity is included on private transfers unless otherwise noted. You can give any additional gratuity to the driver directly as the standard rate of tipping is now 20%.

Yes, the cost of such depends upon the vehicle type. Contact the office for pricing of such, you will pay a minimum hourly charge plus the cost of the transfer. Hourly rates for a van without a trailer is currently $95.00 per hour.

A ship delay for non-release is common and a ship not arriving into port happens more often than people think. In these circumstances all pickups going to the port will be delayed. The Port Authorities in some instances will state when shuttle companies may begin dropping off for such ship. This company must comply with all directives given to us by the Port Authority and in turn expects all passengers to follow such as well.

No, this is not permitted at any airport or port in the State of Florida, per the authority of such and the Department of Homeland Security.

This seems to be a recurring situation. If you are not using the same number you provided we have no idea what the phone number is of the phone you are holding therefore we can not call you. As stated on your confirmation, if you are using a different number you must call us and let us know so that we can pass such onto your driver. Failure to do so will delay your pickup.

10:00 AM is the latest pickup from the port as the ship needs to be cleared and rereleased before the embarkation process begins for the next sailing.

Pickups to the port begin between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM. You have until 3:00 PM to arrive at the port for your cruise. Only those that have permission to enter the port for drop offs early ( ie a wedding) are permitted to be at the port before 11:00 AM. Please understand that the Port Authorities do not want us dropping off before 11:00 AM, porters will not take your luggage until after such time and you will have to wait outside. At some ports the authority will instruct our drivers to drop you off at the far end of the parking lot with your luggage if you arrive too early. Ships start embarkation between 12:00 - 12:30 PM.

This is based off of where you are going after your cruise, if you have a flight and just personal preference. If you are going to a hotel or residence we ask you to please let us get flight people first and be towards the rear of disembarkation from the ship which is usually around 10:00 AM. If you are catching a flight home you should have a 2 hour window of arrival at the airport to proceed through TSA, you must arrive no later than 1 hour prior to your flight or the airline will NOT take your bags and you can not board the plane due to TSA rules.

We begin picking up at the port at 8:00 AM as this is the "official" opening time of U.S. Customs. Though ships sometimes release early our drivers do not begin pickups until 8:00 AM even if you are off the ship early. If you disembark early you will have to wait.

A good rule of thumb is 30 minutes after your flight has arrived for U.S. domestic flights and 1 hour after arrival for international flights.

The driver will tell you this when he/she calls you on the cell phone number you provided for your pickup at your location.

 

** Canadian Customers: This seems to be an ongoing problem with a percentage of Canadian customers who refuse to use their cell phones in the United States due to the higher roaming charges. Please contact your cell phone provider BEFORE leaving Canada and have them turn on American calling. It is an additional fee ranging anywhere from $10- $20 but includes minutes. If you do not, we will charge your card a $50.00 meet and greet fee for having the driver park the vehicle and coming to find you. Telling us your phone does not work here, is not a valid excuse as we deal with hundreds of Canadians each month that have cell phones that work just fine. This behavior causes the shuttles to be delayed in some cases 30-45 minutes thereby putting the driver behind for the rest of his/her pickups and having other customers shuttles be late. 

No refund will be given if you have arrived early at the airport or disembarked the ship early and refuse to wait your turn. We will not give any discount or refund if you take alternate transportation. Please understand you are not our only customer of the day and as such staying to your time is very important so that we may service everyone.

No, there is no possible way any transportation company in particular ground transportation can guarantee any exact on the dot time for pickup. There are entirely too many variables involved for us to honor an exact time, all times are estimates and we do try our best to get your party as close to that time as humanly possible.

Whether you are at an airport or port the process is the same. Once everyone is ready and has their bags you call the number listed on your confirmation telling the agent your party is ready. We then notify your driver who will call you on the cell phone number you provided at the time of booking once he/she is entering the airport or port. Please see your confirmation as to where to proceed at each airport and port

When To Book Transportation

Waiting until the day before or a even a few days before is NOT the time to book your transportation. You should book your transportation when you have booked your airfare. Waiting until you are at the airport is most definitely not the time to "shop" for transfers. Thinking you are going to get a "deal" by waiting until the last minute will not in most cases happen. In point of fact you will end up paying considerably more for transfers. We have Airport and Cruise Port Transportation for Port of Miami, Port Canaveral & Port Everglades.
